Meet Amy

Amy Gantt is one of the recruitment and retention coordinators for the Chickasaw Nation Education Services Department.  She divides her time between the MSC and SOSU campuses. Amy’s MSC office is located on the first floor of the Clyde J. Hall classroom building (next to the Copy Center) and her SOSU office is located in the Hallie McKinney Building, Room #108B.  Amy came on board with the education department in November 2006.  Prior to that, she worked in the Division of Heritage Preservation at the Chickasaw Council House Museum as an education specialist.  Amy earned her bachelor's in fine arts in 1999 from The University of North Texas and completed her master’s degree in 2004 at Texas Woman’s University.  She holds a Texas Teaching Certificate with certification to teach all-level art.  Amy has lived in Oklahoma since 2004 and has worked for the Chickasaw Nation since that time.  She is also a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation.  Amy enjoys working with clay and learning about the Chickasaw language in her free time.
